What Shoebox does
Shoebox is a monthly membership. Each month you pick which photos we may see, our curator selects your ten best, you approve or swap them, and on the 10th they lock, print, and ship. If you don't make an envelope in a given month, nothing prints that month.
Your photos
Your photos are yours. You give Shoebox temporary access to the photos you select, only to curate and print them. Print copies of your selected photos are held encrypted just long enough to reach the lab, then deleted — see the Privacy Policy for exactly how that works. You are responsible for having the rights to print the photos you select.
Payment
Membership is a flat monthly price, billed through Stripe, covering ten 4×6 prints and shipping. You can pause or cancel anytime; referral credits appear on your next bill. If a print arrives damaged or wrong, tell us and we'll reprint or refund it.
Gifts
A gift is one payment for a fixed run of months. Nothing renews, and the person it is for is never asked for a card while those months last. There is nothing to send back — what you bought is months of prints, not a parcel — so instead of a return, we refund: write to us any time before the code is redeemed and we will refund the payment in full, and the code stops working. Once it is redeemed the months start running, and we refund only whole months we have not printed yet. A code is good for five years from the day it is sent; if it runs out, write to us and we will put a fresh one on it. The months belong to whoever redeems the code, so once they have, the gift is theirs to use or cancel.
Fulfillment
Prints are produced and shipped by a professional print partner. Delivery estimates are the carrier's, not promises. If an order fails on our side, you'll hear from us — never silence.
Your account
You can pause or cancel anytime in Settings; there is no fee and no lock-in. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service. We may end or change the service with reasonable notice; anything already paid for will be delivered or refunded.
Liability
Shoebox is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
